Three Gunas
Ravana was Rajasic, drunk with power, passion and self-destructive behavior; his brother Kumbakarna was Tamasic with sloth and slumber; the other brother Vibhishana was Sattvic, left his brother Ravana, joined Rama's camp and surrendered to Him. This is one of the most celebrated Surrenders (Saranagati, Prapatti) to Rama.
Rama crowned Vibhishana, of the serene temperament, King of Lanka, and destroyed Ravana and Kumbhakarna, who symbolised Rajasik and Thamasik qualifies.

Bhasmalochan
As Ram was about to place his foot on the is- land, Vibhishana noticed a rakshasa approaching . The army; he was blindfolded. ‘That is Bhasma- lochan,’ he informed Ram. ‘If he removes his blindfold, all that he will see will burst into flames and be reduced to ashes.’ Ram immediately shot an arrow that transformed into a mirror. That was the first thing Bhasma- lochan saw when he removed his blindfold. He who was sent to set aflame Ram’s army saw his own reflection and was himself reduced to ashes.
