Valmiki Ramayan says that after completion the bridge measured 10 yojan in width and 100 yojan in length. A yojan is approximately 14 km. - First Day - 14 yojanas (1 yojana - 8 miles/12 km)
- Second Day - 20 yojanas
- Third Day - 21 yojanas
- Fourth Day - 22 yojanas
- Fifth Day - 23 yojanas
