Navaratri Dussehra Diwali


Celebrations of Navaratri, Dasshera and Diwali come sequentially.

  1. Navaratri marks the beginning of Rama's prayer to Goddess Durga to obtain the divine power to kill Ravana. Then Rama received the divine power on the eighth day of Navaratri (Ashthami). 
  2. Finally, Ravana was killed on the day of Dasshera. 
  3. Diwali celebrates Rama's triumphant return to Ayodhya and his coronation.
